Why I’m Running
I never expected to run for mayor.
Like many people, I can see that St. Thomas is growing and have been wondering what that growth will mean for the people who already call this city home.
We have an opportunity in St. Thomas that comes along once in a generation. The choices that we make today will shape our neighbourhoods, our transportation, our downtown, and our quality of life for decades.
Rather than asking someone else to take on that challenge, I decided to put my name forward.

Every person experiences the city differently.
Good decisions start by listening carefully, understanding different perspectives, and finding common ground.

My background in software engineering has taught me how to break down complex problems, understand how systems work together, and find practical solutions.
Whether the challenge is transportation, infrastructure, or city services, smart decisions come from thoughtful analysis and long-term thinking.

My experience in accounting has reinforced the importance of financial discipline, careful planning, and accountability.
Every budget reflects the city’s priorities and every tax dollar must be treated with respect.
Responsible spending means investing wisely, planning ahead, and making decisions that provide lasting value to residents.

Good leadership is about making decisions that strengthen St. Thomas both today and five, ten, twenty years down the line.
Growth is coming whether we plan for it or not, and we must shape that growth with intention.
